Best Sesame Chicken in Wheat Ridge! Its a bummer when you know what you like but can never find consistency of texture or flavor, this is what you'll experience with just about every other Chinese food in Wheat Ridge but not at New China! I can count on my order being delicious every time! I normally order take out, but the staff I interact with is super nice and will hook it up with extra crispy noodles without any gripe. Very friendly super awesome!

Don't be fooled by the tattered look-the food is great and the service perfect. This is old style Chinese Amercian, the kind that was everywhere in the 50s and 60s but is harder to find now. I loved it.

This is one of those hidden gems. I am never disappointed with the food here. It is consistently wonderful! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and while the decor inside the restaurant is poor, the food definitely makes up for it. (Most of the time I order delivery anyway.) Very quick delivery, too!

I will only eat here. The food is always hot and delivery is always fast. I always order the pork fried rice, it is amazing. The paper chicken, crispy chicken wings and egg rolls are SO GOOD.

I don't know where these people who gave this restaurant normally eat to give this 5 stars, but it isn't even worth 1 star. What kind of food are they comparing it too? I've never had such bad Chinese food in my life, and I've been all over the country. I went there for the lunch buffet, at about 1:30 p.m. The hot and sour soup was watered down and mostly liquid. There was one egg roll left and I took that one. Someone else took the last chicken teriyaki and crab rangoon. None of these appetizer items were filled during the entire time that I was there; as a matter of fact, not one item on the nearly empty buffet was refilled during the entire time that I was there. And, I took my time, hoping in vain that someone would refill them. Nearly all of the trays of entrees were empty. You could tell by looking at the food that it had been sitting out there for hours. Having no choice, I tried a couple of the entrees; as suspected, they were cold, way overcooked and gross. I went here because I was in the mood for a good Chinese buffet and this one had 5 stars. I don't trust Yelp reviews 100% as I've been skunked before, so this was another learning experience for me---Yelp is often very helpful, but don't bet your life on what other people write.

I love this place! The food is great, the service is great. If you get delivery, it's always well within the time frame. I'm a frequent flyer here. :)

Ok so I love this place. We have had the same adorable waitress every time that we come here. I judge Chinese food by the sweet and sour chicken, to easy of a task some might say but it can be done waaay wrong and these wonderfull people get it awesomly right. (my pops loves it cause the cute waitress winks at him) the large bowl of egg drop soup is big enough to bathe in!

First of all, these folks are as nice as can be. I called in an order to be delivered, and it arrived pretty quickly (snowing hard outside) and was hot. The delivery guy was super friendly. All the required condiments were in the bag. Was happily surprised to find egg rolls in the bag, as I hadn't ordered them. They must come with dinner. They were crisp and light with good flavor. Not oily at all. Didn't care for their sweet and sour sauce, though. Crab wontons weren't very good--they tasted a little stale. But of course, since it involves cream cheese, seafood and deep frying, I ate them all. ;-) The Mongolian beef was ok. Good flavor, but the vegies were a bit overcooked, so that fresh green onion flavor was diminished somewhat. Not a ton of beef in it, but what was there was good--excellent flavor and not chewy. Steamed rice was cooked correctly and there was plenty of it. Haven't tried the hot and sour soup yet, so I'll update when I do. I would order from here again.

I order from New China a couple times per month. I give these guys 5 stars because: The food always arrives very quickly and piping hot They have some of the best hot and sour soup I've ever had They will actually make things "extra spicy" if you request it I've never eaten in the restaurant, but have picked up my to-go order a couple of times and they are always very friendly. Pro Tip: If you're a curry fan, try their chicken curry. Very very good!

This place takes the cake in all catergories. Staff is super friendly. Serivce is very fast. Food is hot, fresh, and delicious. Decor is very mediocre, but if you can get past that the food and service is worth it.

I am often very picky about Chinese food (that weird kind of pickiness in which I will eat anything and everything I come across, but judge it all pretty harshly). I spent a few months in China, and so I inadvertently have that arrogance whereby I compare everything to 'real' Chinese food. As a general rule, Chinese buffets rank pretty low on the 'authenticity' scale, but that doesn't mean they can't offer tasty food nevertheless. My grandpa has been having lunch at New China for years. I hadn't been in years until I took him out this past week. We each ordered the lunch buffet (which is quite inexpensive). The buffet is small, but the food was generally quite good. I often find that the quality of a Chinese restaurant's soup in indicative of the general quality of their food, and I really enjoyed my bowl of Hot and Sour soup. The thing that most impressed me here was the staff. My grandpa comes in often enough that I wasn't altogether surprised that our waitress recognized him (even remembering that he will always ask for a knife and extra napkins). However, it wasn't just my grandpa. In the 30-40 minutes that we sat at our table there were no less than 6-7 people that were 'known' to the staff. The staff were incredibly friendly, and on top of that just did a great job. I have always found that an amazing staff can really set apart what might otherwise be a pretty typical restaurant, and that is definitely the case at New China.

This place is disgusting. I ordered orange chicken and it tasted and smelled like old gym shorts. The soup had also gone sour and smelled so bad I did not eat it. Avoid this place like the plague or eat there and get the plague.

I've ordered delivery from them twice, and they are always super friendly, and their food is delicious! They delivered my food quickly and the portions are huge. I hadn't ordered Chinese food in years before trying them, and I am super pleased. I'll be ordering from them again!

I like it. The decor could use some help but the food is good. Not usually a fan of Chinese buffets but I really like theirs. It is small so the food is hot and fresh which usually doesn't happen with Chinese buffets. I really like it because they had orange chicken, crab rangoons, and chow mein noodles both times I've been there. All my favorite and i ate way way too much. The staff is friendly and they work hard serving people. Good enough for a nice tip even though I fetched my own food!

i just got delivery. barely warm fried rice with no veggies, egg pieces, nothing in it. just seems like day old white rice fried in soy sauce to make it brown. sweet and sour chicken ok. bell pepper pieces raw. pretty sad to mess up Chinese food. guess i'll stick with Panda and I waited 45 mins for this sorry dinner.

Very unassuming place but decent food. Always friendly to me and I often order take out. Ordered a large won ton soup and chicken on skewers for $10. They added two egg rolls and sweet/sour sauce. Both were very good. Previously tried their fried rice and other dishes. They are fast and reasonable. They have a small lunch buffet with a few dishes and soup for a low price. Nothing fancy but worth a try.

Not a whole lot of variety, but food is great! The Egg Drop Soup is the best. Staff there is friendly and attentive.

After not getting my Chinese "fix" on Christmas, we drove about 35 minutes to get to one of the only buffet Chinese restaurants that yelp said hadn't killed or sickened anyone lately....and guess what....VERY HAPPY. Will be back! Super fresh veggies, nice fresh selections on e (smallish) lunch buffet. All in all, very fresh ingredients, very crisp tempura and egg rolls. HAPPY and will be back soon

I found this chinese food to be mediocre. We had 2 lunch specials delivered ($12 minimum) at lunch time, and they delivered it in the time frame they gave on the phone. Not only that, but they only made us wait 30minutes for the delivery when we didn't call until 11:45. I really appreciate that. But the actual food was mediocre. The fried rice is just... browned rice. no veggies in it at all. I want to describe my sesame chicken as "sweet" but not saccharine sweet like sweet and sour chicken. Sweet like the sweet and sour sauce at McDonalds. anyways, it had a little bit of a crunch left to the breading, but I would have enjoyed just a little more. Overall, a brown pile of mediocre food - but I'd order here again if I need delivery.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
